Privacy notice
Last updated: October 2026
This notice explains how TRACE Resources AG (“TRACE”, “we”) handles personal information you send us through this website. It is written to meet the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Who is responsible
TRACE Resources AG, Baarerstrasse 46, 6300 Zug, Switzerland (company registration CHE-430.129.617) is responsible for your personal information. For any privacy question or request, email info@traceresources.com.
What we collect
When you use the contact form, we collect your first and last name, email address, company name if you give it, the content of your message, and your agreement to this notice. We do not ask for special or sensitive personal information, so please do not include it in your message.
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers, and its fonts are hosted on our own site. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, such as IP addresses and request times, for security and to keep the site running.
Why we use it
- To read and reply to your enquiry and to follow up on any business discussion that results from it.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including know-your-customer checks where a business relationship begins.
We process your information on the basis of your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the contact form, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries. You can withdraw your consent at any time by emailing us. We do not use your information for automated decisions, and we do not sell it.
Who we share it with
Your enquiry is only seen by TRACE staff who need it to respond. Form submissions are received and stored through our website host, Netlify, Inc., and delivered to our company email. These providers process the information on our behalf and only under our instructions.
Transfers outside Switzerland and South Africa
Our website host may store your information in the United States or other countries. Where this happens, we rely on recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses so that your information stays adequately protected.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as needed to deal with them and any resulting business relationship, and then for no longer than the law requires. Enquiries that lead nowhere are deleted within 24 months.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to how we use it, or withdraw your consent. Email info@traceresources.com and we will reply within 30 days.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in South Africa, to the Information Regulator.
Security
The website runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), and access to enquiries is limited to authorised staff.
